New - Work From Home Job

Hi
I think I may have found another legitimate job working from home! The job is being advertised on monster and is for home based internet assessors. It pays 11 euros an hour and you can work a minimum of 10 hours and a maximum of 10 hours.
I have applied and you basically have to spend 10 hours training and then take an exam at the end. The exam is in 2 parts:- the first is 20 questions and the second part is more detailed. You need to be aware that you can only take the exam once - if you fail that's it!!
The url below is www.lionbridge.com/internet-assessors
but you could probably find it by searching against monster.
Hope this is of use. Good Luck!!!

Hi there,
Thanks for this link - I've sent a CV in anyway, but it sounds quite involved!
I hope the "270 practical assessments" of the 2nd test is a typo, or paid.
Worth a look anyway,
Best of luck with your application.

I think the way that it works is if you do pass the exam then you will get paid for the time it has taken to get to that point. So I guess it's more of an incentive to pass the exam?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. How much does this cost?Love your son.0

It doesn't cost anything except a bit of time initially.....I've always found that if you have to pay up front then it isn't legitimate!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Just had an email from them and the only thing that worries me is when you submit your invoice it can take up to 60 days to be paid?!!
. How often will I be paid?
A. Initial payment will take up to 60 days. You will be paid directly into your bank account on submission of your invoice. We anticipate that in the future payment should take less than 60 days. Please allow for some clearing time in your bank. You must have a bank account in your own name for payment purposes. Please note that 60 days is a maximum waiting time.
It does say that this is a maximum time.
Tempted to apply fully but I am worried that I will make all of the effort and waste time doing the test to find out I haven't made it. Hmmmm decisions!Started 21/11/09 - Credit Cards - £3492.92 O/draft £??? - going to reassess after Xmas but about £700 Ebay personal challenge - started 24/11/09- total so far ??? Items listed - 3. Due to be debt free in July/August 20100 -
You say initially, what were you to pay for?Love your son.0

I havent checked this out but I would be wary of giving out your bank details. They are saying to expect to wait 60 days before you get paid. That gives them a lot of time to gather bank details from a large number of people. noone expects anything for 2 months and then 'bang' you find that instead of a credit there is a debit.
I am not saying that this is like that, I am merely mentioning that I have seen these types of thing before where bank details are given out innocently under the cover of something else.0 -
And, it says, after you have submitted invoice, therefore you'll have to be self employed, something else to take into consideration!Sig ah Sig Ahhh0
-
yes I have already checked this - you do have to be self employed as they expect you to take care of your own deductions. I have done a bit of diggin around on lionbridge as a company as I am always a bit sceptical about things like this - but as far as I can see they seem pretty legitimate. However, please feel free to prove me wrong!!
My wife has recently started working from home as part of the teletech team so I now know there are real work from home jobs out there!!!!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
