Well, you say that, but on the flip-side insurnace and finance companies will happily charge me £35 to update my details on their system if I call - which is a 30 second job.
And which you've previously agreed to pay.
I think I could easily justify £5 of my time and materials to process, re-address and post their return mail for them.
But like I said above, you're not obliged to do all that. Probably more profitable for you just to spend the vouchers if that's feasible.

"Tesco Clubcard mail is still sent here despite me returning over 10 letters to Tesco and even contacting them directly about it"

I've found Tesco to be difficult to communicate with as they are so bureaucratic.

I used to have a Clubcard Plus (paid into each month and used to buy groceries because it gave double points so very Money Saving)

I received a statement each month from Tesco Bank. When I moved house a few years ago I informed organisations of my new address as well as having my mail redirected for some months. I changed my address on the Tesco website but continued to have the monthly Clubcard Plus statements via Royal Mail redirection.

I even rang Tesco to tell them I'd moved-another frustrating deadend. I kept trying to give the call centre lady my new address but she had to go through her script. Eventually the phone signal went. I expected her to ring me to continue but she didn't.

Forward a couple of months and my card was declined when I tried to use it for fuel payment. The cashier let me use the garage phone to contact Tesco. Apparently two of the statements were marked RTS by the new owners of my old house so Tesco stopped the card. Lesson learned to leave new address labels just in case. During the call I was also given detailed instruction of the person I should contact and their address.

    Problem solved eventually.

So, it's a bit surprising that Tesco continued to send the Clubcard coupons after the OP returned the letters.

After nearly 4 years I've just got a whole sheaf of stuff for the previous owner - turned out to be renewal notices for extended warranties on the kitchen appliances. Given that I've just shelled out for a repair, would have been useful to know about the warranties.

But you haven't had to invest millions in computer systems and business premises that have to be paid for, and you have no contract with either the sender of the mail or the previous house owner to charge them anything, whereas you have agreed to pay to change your address with insurers etc.

After a year I just put anything I receive for the previous owners in the recycling, whatever it is. If they can't be bothered to update their address then they probably don't want the mail anyway.

We get letters every year from Santander to the previous occupants. I had always just sent them back saying "not at this address". However this year I opened it and it's an auto renewal for buildings and contents insurance for our home! And it's over £500. Surely you would notice that going out every year!!

We get loads still - started getting debt collection letters, letters from the school to say their kids were missing classes, work contracts - everything!

I spent ages contacting most of these companies to tell them the new address, then a few months later it happened again.

    Bin it.

My mum keeps getting post for the previous occupants, even after 18 months of being in the house and doing the 'return to sender' thing. One letter was even from the previous owner's solicitor. Either the solicitor is a numpty and not changed the address details for their client or the client is a twit for not telling them the new address!

I bought my house just under 3 years ago and when I moved in I was receiving a lot of other people's mail, as the property had previously been rented out.

I thought this would just be a short term thing but 33 months later I'm still receiving mail for several individuals at the rate of 3-5 letters per week.

After this length of time, I'd just be binning them.
