Did you sell the property in favour of renting?

Or do you still have the property and are considering buying another as an investment, using your pension?

The original post refers to '..is there any hope of me ever buying a home' - I"m confused. Is this a troll or a genuine post?

I sold my last property about four years ago, as the house was much bigger than I needed. I!!!8217;m no troll thanks.

    Hello,

I'd be grateful for your help.

I receive contributory ESA in the support group. I was migrated over from incapacity benefit in 2013. I was assessed for Enhanced Disability Premium in April of this year and awarded it, backdated to Feb 2018. I was told I would receive a phone call to start an application to work out arrears of Enhanced Disability Premium. Should it take this long to wait? I'm still waiting.

I also have a deferred pension. I sent in an application to pension administrators asking if I could receive it earlier due to my ill health. I'm 53. It was granted, and I have received a final quote I think (I have two lots of service with the bank, and the trustees aren't sure if I am eligible to receive two lots of pension early now.)

The quote is £4,775 lump sum and £716.21 per year reduced pension.

My son I rent a private property on a joint lease. The rent is £825 per month. I receive £412 housing benefit and my son receives £290. My son is on income support and receives careers allowance for looking after me. My mum pays the rest of the rent.

If I take the lump sum and the reduced £712.21 pension, will this affect how much housing benefit I receive? Will it affect the contributory ESA and income related ESA?

Do you know if I could take the £716.21 pension in one go, or does it have to be monthly payments?

I'm in debt, so this money would help, but I don't know if the monthly pension will reduce my benefits.

    Kindest regards
