  • No, afraid that doesn't do it

Does it not work on any of the windows or just that one? If it’s just that one, it points more to the motor or something in the mechanism being faulty.

I had this problem on my mini, did a YouTube search of the problem, thumped the door where instructed, and that fixed it!

I've not had chance To look in the manual yet I afraid: I'm guessing it'll just be under the window section? (I'm quite useless as you can probably tell)

Sounds just like my wifes Peugeot 206cc, took panel off and found the wires that push and pull the glass up had rusted and frayed, eventually giving up. New harness and motor needed £100 approx and £100 approx labour.

I've just read the forum now. I've had a mechanic so tjay once or twice in the past before , when my control locking system failed : I was told I neeeee a new BSi unit OR I could get a separate central locking key, which I did as it is as cheaper.

I will try that step by step guide later on when I'm back im back with car but I doubt it'll help :(
I will give the manual a read too tonight.
You don't kno by any chance what heading id be looking for within the manual as it's quite a bulky thing (long shot I know)

They mean the door panel i think. The panel that covers the inside of the door.

At least that would be the panel I would take off to have a look and see whats happening when trying to use the window.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
