Mortgage in principle declined

I have checked with Experian through clear score and my husband is listed under financial associations, if I contact them and explain the situation is it likely that they will take him off? After speaking to him he has a CCJ that was registered 3 years ago so would still show, if they wont remove him do you think I should apply to a company that specialises in bad credit mortgages or is a high street lender likely to take my word and evidence (living separately for a while) that we are separated over the credit agency?
Thanks.
Experian have a financial dissociation form that you can fill out if your no longer financially linked. If you have separate addresses and no joint accounts or loans etc then i can't see why they wouldn't remove the link.
But the data provided on Clearscore is from Equifax and not Experian (unless anyone knows if this has changed recently?) yet you say there is no link on your paid equifax account?.
What does the report on MSE credit club say?0 -

Not yet.But the data provided on Clearscore is from Equifax and not Experian (unless anyone knows if this has changed recently?)
Experian has bought ClearScore, but AFAIK they have not altered the data feeds they take yet.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks everyone, I'm going to fill in the form to disassociate from my husband and find a mortgage broker too, just to be safe. I am wanting to complete around the middle of September/beginning of October, when should I start the actual application?0
-
You would need to start the application asap if you are hoping for a Sept/Oct completion. The timescales differs depending on how long it takes for your property to sell, how many are in the chain, what queries the mortgage company has, if any queries are raised etc.0

I would do it now esp if u can!!!8217;t use a high street lender we!!!8217;re just coming to end off the application the valuation is Monday so once that!!!8217;s ok then offer is done accepted and away we go which is good as only thing left for sorting is our mortgage everyone ready to complete
You get so many months or weeks once an offer is throu so worth getting it now0
