Can anyone please recommend any good internet sites where i can buy cheap books.
Getting sick of paying over inflated prices in Waterstones.
I saw an option on amazon (even tho they weren't that cheap) where you can buy used books. How does this work, do you pay directly to the seller and does anyone have experience of what state they turn up in.
thanks

is good for second hand books - they usually cost £3.75 and you can sell your old books.
The Book People www.thebookpeople.co.uk are excellent, especially for children's books.

thanks stumpy cat...just put my book titles into the search engines on both sites and they can't locate them.
Good sites tho.0 -
I'm an avid reader of all sorts - the best and cheapest places are our local charity shops. £1 each book and within a few weeks of titles coming out, there they are, on the shelves, winking at me.
Might not be suitable if you want specific titles, but certainly good for current releases.0 -
I second the Book People . I have had some great bargains over the last few months and some great Christmas Pressies for next to nothing.0

amazon marketplace is generally good for buying books, the price you see + £2.75 for p+P
ive ordered quite a few books and had 1 dud one which was in a worse state than described, which im going to put in a claim for. Amazon deal with your payment and the merchant is notified of your details. If the book doesnt arrive or is tatty there is an A-Z guarantee that covers you .
I also sell using marketplace and its great for getting rid of old books !
