Need help tracing an old Pension Scheme

Hi

My dad used to work for this firm many years ago (between 1972 to 1979). He then left due to ill health.

My dad informs me he used to contribute to a Pension Scheme and as he's now coming onto retirement age - he would like to know who to contact.

The things is this firm has been bought by at least 3 different companies since. The company he worked for was called Mansell Ltd (in Horwich, bolton) but if i google this - a similair company does exist there but is called Fort Sterling Mansell Ltd.

Any idea how we can get the ball rolling?
