One of my colleagues at work has just bought a nearly new car for £19,500 - £265 a month for 4 years and a balloon payment of £7000.
I would LOVE the car she's buying and I told her my car cost less than her monthly payment (it was £250!)
Suffice to say I'm not getting a new car!0 -
I have done my budget for next month and have around £1100 spare.
My wife wants to put this away towards car insurance (due in August, new passports, Christmas this year etc.)
I think I need to listen to her as we both need to be on the same page before we start chunking off debt.0 -
Had a budget meeting Friday.
We have both agreed that our 'emergency fund' will be set at £1500. Anything above this at the end of the month we will pay off our lowest debt.
Quite looking forward to this year0 -
Just stopping by to say congrats and keep up the good work!1

Thanks SWFC fan, nice to have a comment
So, our fence blew down last week. I spent £450 on materials and me and my mates spent 3 days fixing it.
I reckon this would have set me back circa £1500 so I have effectively saved myself £1000 despite having to spend £500 fixing the fence.
Will end up paying off slightly less this month as a result!
