As I understand it. The bulk of the investment which is over £100000 is with Hypa Asia and Hypa raithwaite. Is this what you wanted to know

Sounds like you are in a similar position to Mr C.

My husband invested his entire pension at age 55 worth then 500k he worked 45 years for this and trusted Portafina he was told all the investments were safe and were backed up with a sort of safety net they strung him along for so long (many years of same old same old) then we discovered the ombudsman and all of the complaints and also under their previous name portal financial) the FOS can only award up to £150000 which they have to my husband but It makes me so angry with their constant lies and 'inspiring futures' adverts, the investments never paid up we have used all of our life savings to live off and now have to sell our home which is a very frugal home but was dearly loved, the whole scenario has made us both very poorly on top of what was very poor health, {Edited by Forum Team} and team you should be very ashamed of your lies. I think it might be time to contact the press and disclose all!

It's worth remembering that the FOS doesn't have to be the end of the process. If the pension was considerably more than £150,000 before portafina got their hands on it, you could consider litigation to get more of the lost balance. It's far from guaranteed though, and could cost you a fair bit if it fails, so it is a difficult decision indeed. Nevertheless, it is an option to consider if the remainder of the pension was valuable enough.
