Statute barred and other debt questions

Hi first time posting
Sorry tried starting new thread but don't now how hope someone can help , I have conflicting advise
Provident personal loan , 2 accounts
2008 , no payment on 1 of them since 2009
The other token payment £10 on 2/2012
Provident have written off accounts 3/2012
And registered 2 seperate defaults 1/2013
I have been told be Lowell that statue limitations start from default date and not last payment received , and they are sending me to court ,is this correct ?

As in PM, Lowell are playing silly beggars with you.

In this case, a loan, limitations clock runs from the date of last missed payment.
