Remortgage

Hi,

My fixed rate ends in March 2019 and I have a few questions if you can answer please:-

We currently have a joint mortgage. I earn 20k. My other half is housewife. We are in receipt of CTC, DLA and carers allowance.

I am considering First Direct (that's who I bank with and salary paid in) or Natwest. I also have a Natwest account but it's not in use.

My current mortgage is 111k. Value of property 280k. I will be putting down 16k and remortgage at 95k.

I have number of current account and credit cards. Has a small balance on credit card but all will be cleared before I attempt to remortgage. Will there be a problem with large credit limit with zero balance and number of current accounts?


First Direct mortgage calculator show's they can consider lending up to 95k that is just on my income. Natwest is showing higher because they take into account Tax credits. Child benefit and DLA. Due to the age of my children's Tax credits will only run for the next 11 years. What effect that would have if I go ahead with Natwest?

And how soon should I put in my remortgage application?
