OP, I'd suggest that you need to edit the text messages if you have quoted them accurately, as I suspect there's enough there for your partner to be identified (his name plus employer name), which might well warrant a misconduct charge against him.
If you do edit it then Takeaway-Addict needs to edit the quote of your post too.0 -

I've had heatstroke - it took me out for 2 days (it was whilst away on holiday, so certainly not of my choosing!).
As for the texts - it is, IMHO, unacceptable to be swearing at someone, especially an employee/subordinate.
On to the previous form - was there a warning issued, how many days off were there?
On the flipside, it seems like the boss has made considerable allowances before and thinks the employee is taking the piddle.0 -
