                    Hi everyone,
I cant decide if this is the right forum or not, but here goes.
We are going to a wedding and we have loads of clubcard points, which I need to use before they scrap the 4x boost.
Is it wrong to use some of my points, to exchange vouchers for a restaurant, and then give these to the happy couple for a night out?
Technically I've paid for them in the long term with all my shopping, but it is a massive saving for me (when trying to save for my own wedding) if I am able to give them a gift that isn't costing me now. But it is cheeky? I think I am being thoughtful, a nice meal out together for them...but I don't want anyone to think I'm being cheap!, Thoughts?

I think it depends on the bride & groom really. Are they likely to be interested in the value of the gift or the cost?
You could think of it as a lost opportunity on your part, you could have used the vouchers for yourself, so no different than if you'd spent actual cash. I would be delighted if somebody gave me a restaurant voucher regardless of what it cost them in cold hard cash.
When we got married we asked for no gifts as it's expensive to go to a wedding as it is, a few people bought us small gifts and that was lovely because we didn't expect it.0 -
I paid for a friend's honeymoon flights with Airmiles. They were happy with them.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
