NHS Payslip a complete letdown !!

I am struck with lightning !!
All this time I knew my gross salary before tax is 68000/ year.
With a 90% LTV a house of 259000 will not be an issue.
Did the mortgage application with Halifax and my Halifax mortgage advisor told me on Friday that the processing unit has denied as my payslip has basic 46802 and the others are all suppliments and they will take only 60 to 80 % of it. So my income is not enough.
It is ridiculous !! These suppliments are regular and the same amount comes in year after year.
The mortgage advisor is trying to put in a business case for me to the Underwriters.
Because I am in Tier 2 visa Halifax is my only way out I am told. But this payslip breakdown is just ridiculous !!
Any words of wisdom!! Anyone felt this?
Kind regards

are these supplements contractual and guaranteed?0

"Supplements" need to be contractual rather than regular. Lenders will set their criteria accordingly as a matter of policy. You are not being singled out.0

Have you spoken to your HR Department. They may be able to draft a letter to support your case.0

It probably is worth asking HR but I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in them to be honest.
That said "banding" is usually fairly well accepted if that is what you are refering to? may be worth speaking to BMA/UNISON depending on your professional background?0 -
If it is the same on every payslip some lenders will take 100%
Time to consult a broker

Why was this not picked up on before applying?
If you have it in your contract they are guaranteed, then you have no problem.
If you do not have it in a contract then they are not guaranteed. You could maybe get a couple of P60s to evidence your income over the last few years being closer to what you are saying.
This is not the NHS letting you down but whoever made the application not checking everything before applying. It sounds like you did this directly rather than through a broker?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. There are mortgage advisors who specialise in NHS employees including junior doctors (which appears to be the case based on your visa information & salary). They should be able to sort it out. Scottish widow also has specific mortgages for doctors.0

As stated above this has not been handled in the right way.
We do Doctors Mortgages every day and would have had this already placed if I read your post correctly.
Consult a Doctors specialist Mortgage Broker.I am a Mortgage Broker

Another vote for using a specialist mortgage broker for doctors. Or even a large mortgage broker that will have experience in such issues (L&C worked well).
Don't use your bank's mortgage broker. They just type into a compute and read out whatever it says back to them. They can't account for any unusual or specialist circumstancespoppy100 -
Plenty of scope for all of your income to be used at 100% of what you get if it is regular. No need to fly off the handle just because Halifax won't use it all. Probably better rates available too.0
