Help - have one month to make some money!

Hi,

I am really stuck. I've just graduated and moved house, and was hoping to find a job asap but haven't yet. I have signed up with several temping agencies and I have an interview for a temping job starting next Monday and I have been applying to as many full-time jobs that suit as possible. I don't want to take just anything as I have changed jobs several times on my CV so I want to find something that suits so I can show I can be loyal! But I urgently need money to make the rent at the start of December and the bills that will be coming out in the week after, so I need to find like a grand or at least £600 in that time.

Has anyone got any suggestions how I can make money in that time? I've sold on ebay before but as I've just moved house I have nothing to sell, only what I need. I'm worried that if I get a decent job before then it will actually ruin my chances of making the money in time for the start of December, because at least if I'm temping I will be paid weekly, but if I get a full time job mid Novemeber, won't that mean I won't see any pay til mid December?

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hi supersezzie

I think the only way to reach that amount of money quickly is through temping work. I would try all the agencies in your area and keep on at them. Get a suit on, a few copies of your cv and go into town. If you can find somewhere that pays weekly so much the better.

The debt-free wannabees might be able to help you with keeping costs as low as possible in that time so I'll move your post over there.

Walk down your local high street and look at window displays there are usually some shop work ones or even bar work which you could do round a full time job anyway for a while!
  • bar work.... defo. You might be working A LOT but you can take every spare shift they have got. maybe have 2 bar jobs and fill your time with shifts at both?
