Loan application questions query

I am thinking of applying for a loan. To minimise my risks of being refused, I was curious as to how best to answer some of the application questions.
I am retired with a pension but I work part time. There is always a question regarding employment status, but you can only choose one of the options. Am I best putting that I am retired or working part time? Either way, I still have an income.
Similarly, do the reasons for taking the loan score differently. For example, I want the loan for a holiday but I would also clear the balance of an existing loan (£1000).
Do I put holiday or debt consolidation for the reason?

Thanks

Mark
In the beginning, there was nothing.
The Lord said "Let there be light".
There was still nothing, but you could see it.

I would put working part time.

Yes, the reasons score differently with different lenders.

Put the reason for the bulk of the loan.
