Remortgage advice

Options
I will be coming to the end of a 2 yr deal at the end of February. I'm wondering whether it's too early to contact a broker at this stage - especially if interest rates come down in Nov or Dec. Perhaps there would be better deals on offer if I hold off?

Any advice much appreciated!

Possibly a bit early but you could get an idea of what is available - you do not have to make a commitment at this stage and can review the deals available nearer the time. You should not leave it until much later than early new year as an application / valuation to get your offer can take up to 4 weeks.

Your mortgage is a major financial part of your life so do take your time - you may even want to try more than one broker to find one you feel will help you the most.

  • Start the process (sourcing, deciding, selecting) four months out! Make sure you select a deal with no survey fee, lock the rate in by applying for it and then sit back and wait to see what happens! If rates go up you already have your deal, if they go down re-apply for the lower rate! Simon
