Tax Calculator

Hi there,

I was wondering if there was anywhere online I could work out what I'm going to get taxed? I have a main job where I get paid £17,000 a year and I've just picked up a second job where I earn £7860 a year and I want to know if its worth taking the second job in case I get taxed too much.

Can anyone help?
Thank you

You will pay a straight 20% in tax on the earnings from your second job. You won't, however, pay any national insurance on that £7860 so will be almost £80 per month better off than if you simply earned £7860 higher salary in your main job.
