Groupsave query

Hi,

We are 4 adults 1 kid and 1 infant travelling to London from Southampton.
The issue is only 2 adults and 1 infant will come back on the same day while rest of the party will stay Back.

So what is the best way to book train tkts ?
If I book grouosave for all it is just 52 quids ..but can we come back alone on that ticket ?

Or any other suggestions please ?

For Groupsave all people in the group must travel together at all times.

You could use a Groupsave for the outward journey, and discard the return part and buy new return tickets, but as cheap day returns are usually only a little more expensive than singles that may not save money.

Family railcard might be used, the infant can travel on the child ticket on the way back to qualify for the railcard discount.
