abit of background back, I am a FTB in February i found a house and put an offer in and it was given a DIP with Natwest, but then it was declined due to being a non standard construction and had problems. back to house hunting! During this time n-power put 6 months worth of late payments on credit file, didn't know so when we found next house it was a straight decline from natwest, we got n-power to remove late payments becaise they were errors but Natwest refused to touch us. Our M.B spent 4 weeks trying to convince them even though we asked her to go to another lender! She has been absolutely awful So we change to an independent broker who tried us with Virgin but we got declined due to affordability, We have just put our third application in with Santander (our last attempt) and had funds to do up property but we are thinking of now just increasing our 5% to 10% so we don't lose out on our dream home, so my question is can we even do that after the application has been submitted, will we have to do a fresh application or can they adjust it. Credit has took a battering so don't really want to do a fresh application

Give them a call - they may be able to adjust the numbers and it may work out better for you for the affordability.
Odd that the broker went to a full application without assessing affordability though.0 -
Thanks for the reply, Sorry should of said virgin was just a dip that got referred, virgin said we was just over affordability but declined the DIP but did a hard search so it is visable on credit file0
