Debt recovery letter! PAY BY TOMORROW! International parking community? PLEASE HELP

Hello, I know there are stickies for this but I’m panicking a lot at the moment and would just like some quick replies or advice. In January me and my friends parked at a hotel called MJB, there are several of them. I paid for the parking for the hotel address that Booking.com told us we are staying at, turns out we actually stayed at a different one. The lady at reception told us we will be fine. 3 weeks later my friend got a letter about a fine, after reading things on here I told him to ignore it, he received more so I got in touch with the hotel and the people that sent us letters, of course with no reply! Now today my friend has received a letter from debt recovery plus ltd telling him £160 is needed to be paid by tomorrow. At the bottom it says it’s the international parking community. So he and I are stressing a lot at the moment. There is a number on the letter to ring if you don’t agree with it. Should I or he ring that? Ignore? This one seems a lot more serious and worrying! Any help would honestly be greatly appreciated! Thank you

This one seems a lot more serious and worrying!I know there are stickies for this but I'm panicking a lot at the moment and would just like some quick replies or advice.
There's only one sticky you need to read - the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, and post #4 of that sticky will tell you everything you need to know in how to handle debt collectors.I'm panicking a lot at the momentPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

one word
IGNORE
then do as Umkomaas says above ^^^^^^^^0 -
Here's a few more words...
This looks to be a continuation of the story you started back in March.
You don't appear to have even noticed any of the responses you received then.
People asked you questions and you ignored them.
No-one is going to chase all over the place looking for background information.
Please keep all questions about a single incident to one thread.
Thanks.0 -

OMG .... PAY TOMORROW .... REALLY ??????
DRP are the biggest load of rubbish ever invented
What bunch of tosspots, wan*kers, idiots, DRP are
THESE DROIDS ARE POWERLESS and you treat
this mickey mouse outfit as idiots.
PAY TOMORROW hahahaha DRP :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for the reply. Although this is true, me being an idiot and not knowing how to use this site very well, i could never get round to finding my first post a long time ago therefore didn’t get to even see or answer any questions. But after reading replies on this one, it’s best to ignore. What should I expect in your opinion? Regular letters every week or randomly? Do they eventually give up? Or keep sending the same stuff? And if I get a different type of letter about genuine court action, I come straight back to this site? Thank you again I appreciate it0

This is all covered in the Newbies FAQ thread #4
You told us you read it originally and then advised your friend to ignore the ticket!!
That advice didn't come from here!
So now learn about debt collectors and ignoring them
The PPC has 6 years to start legal action
Tell your friend to come back here for advice on dealing with a lbcca or Court correspondence if that arises in the future
Maybe after telling him/her to ignore the original ticket you could volunteer to pay any court order he ends up with due to your bad advice,!0 -
@Q - the OP seems not to want to expend any effort in reading the NEWBIES sticky. We just need to make sure we put in the work to answer any question he raises.
Simples - no need for him to over exert in resolving his problem. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Expect more DRP rubbish or maybe another idiotic
debt collector.
In the end these plebbies give up and pass it back to the PPC
You know, for us regarding DRP, it's like watching those
boring old repeats on the BBC ... YAWN YAWN YAWN0 -
I am learning, thanks for the reply. I told my friend exactly what to do when HE got the first few letters, he seemed to be completely unbothered by it. After not hearing from him for about 5 weeks and probably not reading any links I sent him a while back he!!!8217;s now wanting more help. I panicked, made the post after reading stuff but wanting reassurance or something else, I!!!8217;ll keep reading into drp and other information. Appreciate the comment on bad advice! Only done and doing a favour for a friend, which I initially had !!!!!! all to do with in the first place!0

This is correct at first, I scanned through the stickies, mostly out of panicking and rushing. Now after spending the last 30mins to an hour reading about all of this, it makes a lot more sense and this post wasn’t necessary. I apologise for that. It’s noted and I will only make another post or comment on something if I receive a more serious letter in the future. I appreciate everyone’s comments and again apologise for making a thread of the same things you guys read every day. Again, was more out of laziness and panicking.0
