recipe for gluten free chocolate cake/brownie

I'm quite an experienced baker, but have never made/had the need to bake gluten free.
my other half has asked me to bake a chocolate cake for his weekend away and one of his friends is coelaic .
he was hoping for something chocolate.
i wondered if any of you had a tried and tested recipe so i don't have a disaster!

    There is a blog, the Gluten Free Alchemist, with lots of recipes. Generally speaking, with gluten free cakes it helps to have an extra egg and a bit of added liquid. Doves Farm gluten free flours have cake recipes on the bags, the self raising one has a chocolate brownie recipe.

    Please make sure your kitchen and all your equipment is super clean - even one stray crumb could affect someone with coeliac. For the same reason, please use a fresh pack of butter as if you've used it to spread bread there is a great risk of cross contamination, as the knife goes from the bread back to the butter. My mum has severe coeliac disease.
