    Thanks for answering, seriously, i'd stop the running, maybe cycling would be better on your heart.

    On the contrary, cycling could be more dangerous if the person was to take unwell.

    To get back to the original question...

    I suspect that if it would be a problem there would be some clue in the job advert or further details supplied by the employer. My former employer would specify in the advert that seagoing employees would be expected to pass a seagoing medical but office based staff weren't subject to this.
