Countdown to 60

Well, I was last a regular poster on here about 7 years ago when I had a tiny mortgage and a tiny home.
Since then I've got a new job, extended my home, met my partner and am about to move in with him.
I have a two part mortgage of M1 £148k and M2 - 11.5k, and a credit card of £3.5k. I've cleared £6.5K of card and aim to clear the rest by August.
So - not all my salary is to play with as I have a youngish family but I'm raring to go.
I found this site really good for keeping motivated by other posters but also good to see how far I've come - so I'm back to keep track of how I get on.
Wish me luck - I've a long way to go in 7.5 years!

May 2018 - £159k + £3.5K CC - let the countdown begin! :)
March 2019 - CC gone and bye bye M2 on 31st! £140k to go.:j

Well its been a while (nearly a year - sorry!) but credit card is paid off and at the end of this month I'll be paying off the small mortgage (M2) which I have got down to roughly £9k. That's when the deal ends and I didn't want to pay a penny in early repayment charges!
Next step will be to hit that other mortgage of about £138k now.
So - as that M1 fixed deal finishes in August I'll tackle it with a mixture of a reduced term, new fixed deal and make sure I'm allowed over payments - just to give myself a bit of wiggle room.
I can't wait to go into the bank and pay off M2 with my saved up £9k whoop whoop!
    It's a great feeling.
