The Halifax are on a mission to understand what home means to you.

So they've teamed up with ourselves and Viking FM to find out what matters most to our readers and listeners.

We'll be celebrating the special places in people's lives and sharing those stories of home with #HalifaxLoveYourHome.

Every week between now and Sunday June 24, one lucky person will be chosen by the judges to win £500 for sending in the best story.

But what makes your home and community so special?

We know our readers love where they live - but what makes it so special?

Is it that sanctuary spare room where you brew your own craft beer or are you a Dr Who fan whose living room’s been invaded by a Dalek collection?

Maybe it’s simply the place where you feel safe, and where three generations happily watch boxsets together.

Or do you love the street you live on and have the best neighbours?

So many different things make a home special – and we would like to know what they are.

No matter who you are or where you live, there’s no place in the world like it.

And that’s why we want to hear all about the place you call home.
