Your credit score is irrelevant. Ignore it.

What are the registration dates of the defaults and the amounts?

  • One says 2011 and the other is 2013 still shows up on every check but I've no debt or any credit applications :(
  • One is for £157 the other is £600 which I didn't use but because it was in my name I don't have any argument

2011 should have fallen off your credit history in 2017 when it reached six years from registration. Is there any reason why it is still visible?

The 2013 default will remain visible until 2019. How much is the default for?

Are you looking at recent copies of your credit files? You need to check all three regularly.

Which lender did you apply to?

  • I checked my report this morning still showing apparently the 2011 will come off in August very frustrating when I know I can afford the mortgage, I went with Natwest

I assume Natwest declined the application? There are options out there for you, but you will need to find a good broker that understands impaired / adverse credit applications, to truly ensure you are ending up with a suitable lender.
