Mistake on Loan Application please help!

Options
My girlfriend recently applied for a loan online with her bank around 5 weeks ago for £2500. She is currently unemployed but mistakenly put her pervious job down that was within the previous 12 months as her job now. When the application was complete it said she should here back within 3-5 working days with documents to sign and send back if it was successful.
Even if the documents did arrive she would not have signed them because she realised the mistake that was made. It has been 5 weeks now and we still haven’t heard anything not even a letter saying it was successful/unsuccessful. I’m worried if they’ve seen it as fraudulent behaviour because of the mistake made on the application, no money has been received and she has not signed anything.

Contact them and also check with CIFAS.

Tell her not to apply for any more loans, as she won't get them in any case.

Did the loan application actually go through?Five weeks sounds a long time to wait to hear anything at all.I would have expected to receive at least an email acknowledging the application.
I hope you can sort it out.

You don't mistakenly put down a job you are no longer in when you're unemployed when applying for a loan. She has tried to commit fraud and is now most likely getting you to ask this because she's starting to brick herself she has been caught out. As zx81 says you may want to get her to check CIFAS to see if a fraud marker has been put on her credit file. If it has then she is going to have all hell on getting credit for anything in the future, even things like mobile phone contracts or being able to pay car insurance monthly.

    Very very silly.
