I hope you're using your R4 to play legitimate homebrew games
I wouldn't bother with a DSI. Yes, they have larger screens and are brighter and have DSIware, but their battery life is shorter and there's no GBA slot.0 -
On the geeky forums I frequent
I've been told they will not drop the price of the ds lite when the new version comes out. They will just phase out production-they have already stopped selling/making the silver ones.

Hi I was after some advise please - would you think a guy (approx 40yrs old) would like a ds lite? Alot of the reviews seem to be from women and children have them so wanted to be sure before I got one for a friends birthday.. Apologies in advance if i've posted this in the wrong place - I can get to Costco if they have any stock..This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Summer01,
I got my son one for christmas and him and his dad fight over it each night. I'm getting my OH one for his birthday now (hes 38). I'm sure your guy will love it.0 -
Both my sons in law love playing on DS. There are games for every taste and age. I am a grandma and after playing my foster daughters Santa was kind enough to buy me my own :-) I love it and am now playing on Children of Mana which is very like Zelda, which I love, and also got off Santa!
I would recommend anyone whose kids have one to get a R4/TTDS card, (strictly to back up their games of course ;-) ) My special needs foster daughter loves her DS and having all her games on one card is an absolute godsend when going on holiday/school trips as she doesnt have to change cards and lose her games. We were fed up of searching down car seats looking for lost games!0 -
does anyone know the best price i can pay for just the ds console using paypal? i really want to avoid ebay though.
thanksmmmm free stufffffffff0 -
A friend saw some on a 'Manager's Special' today in Argos (Knaresborough, N Yorks) for £73. Not certain if they are 'lites', or if they're that price elsewhere...but may be worth a look...?0

The Nintendo DS lite thread has been goin on here for some time but with the replacement handheld set to be released in Britain in the next few months, I thought now wud be a good time to start a thread on the new DSi console..
The DSI has already gone on sale in Japan, with biggers screens, new cameras and software. Nintendo have said that it will be released in the UK during spring or summer though its not available to pre order here yet.
You can read more about the official release here:- Official Nintendo UK Website
