Do you think if we could get some money together, or at least some food donations, the RSPCA would keep them for longer? Do you have a name to contact at the centre?

I would be happy to contribute to this too. Been in touch with OP by email and again happy to do anything I can to help so count me in if we can get this arranged.
  • I know I am posting backwards and forwards in two thread but meh..

I will get Pat to give the Blue Cross a call.

I think the problem is that there are 22 cats and 3 dogs all have fleas, none of them are neutured. ALOT of money needs to be spent by any charity/rescue centre to get these animals a home.

I am gonna give it a rest for the night, but Pat is still at it.
I don't know if these animals already have signed consent to have them put down or not. I am in contact with various people trying to get this sorted... unlike the guarians of these animals. I know their daughter may have just died and there is the funeral etc for them to sort out but I think they are being far too hasty.

We will find out more information tomorrow.

I need to give this a bit of rest for the night as my partner is going off on one because I am snapping at him wanting a cup of tea.

The Blue Cross will pay for all that rather than put the animals down, and they neuter / spay as well. They are definitely worth a call. :) Well done on pursuing it. :)
' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".
  • I go on a board called Pet Rescue UK that has an "Animals in Danger" section. I'll crosspost this, but I'll have to fib and tell the mods I got your permission if they email me!

Is this Doncaster Rotherham and District RSPCA? If not, do you have contact details of the shelter? I'm in South Derbyshire, but I can try to get them moved.

    Hello,
This is awful, unfortunately I live too far south to help (Somerset) if I lived nearer then both me and DH would definately help out.
What about Cats Protection, they are brilliant, maybe you could call your local branch, they will definately help if they can.
A couple of years ago a stray tortie cat came to our house, we took her in, she was in a right state and was very hungry so we fed her. We called the RSPCA but they didn't seem interested, after lots of phone calls we managed to get hold of the local coordinator for CP and she came out and picked up the little tortie and took her straight to the vets, unfortunately she was very poorly and didn't make it but CP did everything they could to help her. Also the Dogs Trust is very good, they will help out where they can. I hope all of these little animals are saved, it's heartbreaking.....
My heart goes out to you and take care Popsy xx
  • Does anyone have any updates at all? It's almost 1pm. :(
