Hi All,

The 6 year time limit for complaints of unaffordable lending etc, is that from the date the loan was taken out or paid off? And likewise credit cards?

Thanks

Don't you think you have shot yourself in the foot?
If you paid the loans off they weren't unaffordable surely?

I would say from the date they were closed off.

    Generally, the time limits are:

six years from the event the consumer is complaining about (or - if later - three years from when the consumer knew, or could reasonably have known, they had cause to complain).
