I've seen it all now.
Why would anyone pay £7.50 for a gadget to replace the perfectly good tools on the end of our arms?

Way back in the day when I was a student think 1970 I spent a summer hulling strawberry at a certain jam factory in Fochabers. You brought it all back with that wee gadget . haha.0

My sister got one of these as a Lakeland freebie. When hulling enormous amounts of strawberries for family 'dos' or village fund raisers, I have blessed it. Hulling strawberries for a whole morning is surprisingly hard on the fingers!
Given their high quality and amazing customer service, I forgive Lakeland almost anything!0 -
its obvious, a very good tool when hulling lbs of strawberries for jam or for the freezer. All I can say is, if you cannot afford it then don`t get into debt buying it
Love lakeland stuff0 -
If the arthritis in my hands gets any worse, I might well consider it for prepping strawberries for jam-making; but at present I can still manage without it.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

My mum has one as she doesn't have a lot of strength these days. If my MS got worse is definitely have one!0

Doesn't hulling with a straw take some of the strawberry away with it? It seems to on the video. I eat all the strawberry once I've removed the green leaf top. I don't leave the 'core' unlike on an apple. Plus strawberries are so small, I wouldn't want to not have all of the berry to eat. Unless I've been eating strawberries wrong my whole life and you're meant to leave a bit.
If the lakeland gadget only removes the green top, I can see it would be useful if you have reduced/poor motor skills in your hands or if you've got plenty of strawberries to hull.0 -

I'm ashamed to say I'd probably buy it if I saw it for 25p in a chazzer. I'm a sucker for kitchen gadgets.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

Maybe it's a 'nail' thing? I just slip my thumbnail under and pop off the top, maybe I have particularly strong nails? I can honestly say it would take longer to faff with a gadget.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

It's a lifestyle thing... if you buy 1-2 punnets/year at most ... seems pointless, but if you're a "Ladies who Lunch" type, wearing light linen clothing and having "a bit of a do on the lawn" .... yet not yet able to afford your own staff, it's a job done. Or some jam makers ....
I often eat the strawberry by holding the green bit and plucking the strawberry off with my teeth (which probably says more about my class than any form of simple ingenuity).0
