Just wanted to add my input on a 2nd income which may be of interest to some,
In my spare time I make garden ornament and furniture such as benches, firepits and table tops etc all out of concrete, I sell the finished products at car boot fairs ranging from £5 small ornaments to £30 for the large ones (furniture is usually more)
Now bairing in mind the materials would cost me £10.39 (1 cement 2 sand 1 gravel) that amount would be enough to do 2 £30 and 2 £20 ornaments meaning a net profit of nearly £80 per mix,
Of course you need to spend money on upfront costs such as moulds etc
I sell quite alot of the £10 ornaments I have alot of returning customers some who place orders with me
Sunday gone was a great day of sales maybe been bank holiday weekend helped but just to give you an idea the total takings were £665 minus £20 for the pitch and 50-60 quid in materials
Net profit £585 I think if I'd of worked the Saturday also I'd of been close to 1k net, not bad for 1 days takings though a hobby that pays !!!128522;
