Mortgage for former Bankrupt

I was declared BR August 2015. I’m looking to move out of rental accommodation and try and get a mortgage next year.
At the moment we have around 40k to put down and looking at properties around the 200k mark.
Would there be any mortgage companies that would touch me? My earnings are 36k a year.
Regards

Lenders have a varied attitude to Bankrupts.
Some will not lend to an ex Bankrupt.
The most common position is that they will lend 6 years after discharge.
Some will lend 6 years after registration.
One or two main stream lenders will lend 3 or 5 years after discharge which may suit you late next year.
Other that that you are looking at specialist lenders pricing accordingly.
Either way you need to consult a mortgage Broker.I am a Mortgage Broker

There will be lenders at normal rates who will consider you once you have 3 years discharged. But as amn says, it is probably one for a broker.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
