I recently took a loan out with Welcome Finance.
I received the funds on 26th September 2007.
I have today called to cancel the Payment Protection aspect of the loan, but have been told I had to do this within the first 30 days.
Firstly, strictly it's only been 29 days since I received the funds.
Secondly, is there anything I can do if I was outside the 30 day period?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi
I got a loan in Feb with PPI - i have recently cancelled the PPI as it was implied that it would be in my interest to take it out - meaning i wouldn't get the loan if i didn't. you will get the amount back on a pro-rata basis - they will take it off the amount you still have outstanding with them.
if it was cancelled within the 30 day period and you can prove it - fight them on it - it's amazing what a few phone calls and letters will do - i have been waiting for a settlement figure for some time and when i made an official complient low and behold it came through the next day.
Don't let them get away with it as i assume the interest you are paying is more than enough!lleigh:A0
