Hello, Im a newbie on this excellent site and mega grateful that you arent afraid to speak out against financial unfairness. I have taken loans out in the past with very dodgy loan companies who have charged me ridiculous amounts of interest because I believed their sales patter that they were the answer to my dreams to have the 'perfect life' that they portrayed in their ads. These companies should have health warnings on them. I rarely watch day-time tv but when I do Im gobsmacked at how many debt ads there are.
Keep speaking out for those of us who dont have the confidence or financial know-how to speak for ourselves Martin. Youre reet after Shearer on wor Top Blowks list, bonny lad!

I do wonder about the celebrities who are often in the adverts for these dodgy loan companies. OK, I know they're probably paid an absolute fortune for very little work, but do they have no morals?

Perhaps Martin could use an all-purpose phrase like "advertised in the media"?

Can anyone offer any help or advice as to how to deal with these awful companies. I'm sitting here now watching one while I type this and it infuriates me. A good friend of mine is now in dire straights in debt to these companies, having not been able to pay one off as expected another was taken out and it's snowballed to the point where he is really stressed and can't find a way out. Is there a way out of these things or does he just have to keep going round in circles? With this rediculous rate of interest it's seems impossible!
