Bella Italia confirmed there were 2,500 winners on their Facebook page.

Well I personally find it hard to believe that there were "2,500 winners".

But I'm not going to get wound up over it because Bella Italia have run many competitions in the past where there were lots of winners.

It's other competitions run by other companies that annoy me where the prizes are awarded to friends and relatives of the company or simply not awarded at all.

I won the same type last year and had a lovely time but not lucky this time. Haven't heard of any winners yet.

There are posts from winners on both their FB and TW pages, it is likely that MSE entries were only a small part of the total given that on FB alone they have almost 130,000 followers - but the main thing is probably that the majority of MSE users do not post that they have won or even stray from the main competition section.

Decided to have a look at iwiwiw and the number of wins actually posted and it is less than I thought.

There are approximately 1,600 threads from the last year - it would only take 80 wins a year per person for 20 people to equal that number.
