HI All
After some advice before i drive myself insane on this bank holiday monday!!
I get a monthly credit report emailed to me and like to check my credit score monthly. Imagine my surprise this morning to open it and see my score has plummeted because a CCJ was issued on March 30th!!
I have absolutely no idea what it is for and it's for almost £7k!! Even more bizarrely, it is issued to a property that I sold in June 2006. I have moved twice since then - always been on the electoral register and always updated correspondence with new details. I am at a loss to what it could be?
What do i do now?

Hi,
What you have received is called a judgement by default, wear by a creditor who believes you owe them money has taken you to court over the matter, and because you did not respond to the claim form, the court found in their favour.
Most likely scenario is the court papers went to the last address they had on file for you, somewhere you obviously now do not live.
So, only thing you can do is ring the court concerned, and ask them for more information, it should tell you which court on your credit file, or check trustonline.
Once you know who the creditor is, you then have options.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
