Has anybody ever won an Xperia Lounge competition? The ones that say “The winner will be the 60,000th (or whatever) person who submits a valid Entry and correctly answers the Competition question. If the number of participants is less than the number above, Sony Mobile may at its sole choice and discretion not award the prize or extend the period of time to enter.”

Is it just me that is skeptical they ever reach get 60,000 (or whatever) entries and actually give anything away?

If a comp runs 1st-30th April, one entry per person, and the winner is the 60,000th entry, even if I guarantee you that over 60,000 will enter, are you going to enter on the 1st April? Is anybody going to enter on the 1st? What about entering on the 20th?

It would be even more fun if they told you how many had entered so far, so on the morning of the 30th only a couple of hundred entries had been received as everyone waits for 59,000 idiots to waste their entry.

Despite being very good prizes, I notice these comps get very few thanks compared to other comps, which makes me think everybody waits until the last minute to be the 60,000th entry then forgets to enter.

I image they usually fly past 60,000 entries given that the competitions are open worldwide except for

Australia, Brazil, Italy, Sweden, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Poland, Philippines, Singapore, USA and Canada

Their FB page has nearly 24,000,000 likes (excluding the near 8,000,000 likes for their North american one), if just 1% of their FB fans entered that would give them near 1/4 of a million entries or if just 0.25% entered that would give them their 60,000 without any entries from non FB fans.

(I don't have a Sony phone or belong to the "xperia lounge" so have never bothered to look at them before)
