Adult Kick Scooter recommendations?

I'm thinking of getting an adult scooter (push along) for the school run so we can all scoot together.
Obviously, the main brands are super expensive, while no name brands are really cheap on sites like Amazon. So I'm not sure which one to get.
I tried a £60 and a £130 one from the same brand - Oxelo - in my local Decathlon store.
The difference was quite surprising, with the cheap one being quite horrible to ride, and the more expensive one being fun to ride.
Do you think this applies to all the sub-£100 ones?
Ideally I'd like a handle brake and a smooth ride.
Any tips?
Thanks

Personally I think the kids and adult ones should be banned on pavements, it’s a rat run trying to walk down the road at school times with the adults and kids scooting towards you and not getting out of the way resulting in me having to take my life in my own hands and walking in the road.
I had a woman shout at me the other day to get out of the way :mad:
Sorry op that doesn’t really help your plight but I would imagine that you get what you pay for. If you have seen a great difference in the cheaper one to the expensive one, I would opt for one you are happy with.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
