miele turbo brush

I have decided to get a miele as they always get good reviews.
My dilemma is do I spend an extra £50 to get the cat and dog version, the only difference I can see is it comes with an extra head (turbo brush).
Do you own one and if so do you use the turbo brush, is it worth the extra or is is something that just sits in the cupboard.
Thanks

The turbo brush is used for deep cleaning of carpet or rugs. I use it all the time.

The Miele turbo brush picks up pet hair when the ordinary suction-only attachment makes it roll up and stick to the carpet in clumps. But the turbo is not very good on hard floors - seems to produce less suction. The turbo brush is also larger and heavier and won't go under some furniture. The Cat and Dog model I have came with both brushes. A friend who has Parkinsons and is a bit less strong than she used to be, said she likes the turbo as it is less effort to push. I felt the extra cost was worth it for making vacuuming less frustrating and a lot quicker - I have 2 cats and the house is about 75% carpet.0
