Mortgage Interest only

I wonder if you can help I have an Interest only Mortgage which has only 10 years left, I want to downsize unfortunately I can't do a part exchange from a 3 bedroom to a 2 bedroom, I need advice as to what to do as I can't afford to pay off my Mortgage at the end of it's time. I'm single work F/T I have a poor credit record. Can anyone help?

Can you not make overpayments to your mortgage now?
