Iceland traffic light labeling

Does anyone know why Iceland no longer puts Nutrition labels on their foods? I did ask them but I didn't get a reply

I suggest you have a word with your local Environmental Health or perhaps Trading Standards. Those nutrition labels are a legal requirement (Food Information to Consumers: one of the things that the EU has forced us to do): sadly many large businesses no longer bother to obey the laws that are supposed to protect us since enforcement is down to local government and most councils do not have the resources needed to take a major company to court.

And your subject is, erm, different -- I opened this thread expecting to read something about driving while on holiday in Iceland!

I don't think the OP is saying that there is no nutritional information on the packs at all - just that it isn't in the 'traffic light' (red/amber/green) format.

There's no legal obligation to display it in this format

Did you watch the TV programme where it was reported chilled and frozen goods were delivered to the store and often sat for 12+ hours, before being stored at the controlled temperature?

But it does sound like a backwards step in food labelling when excess sugar/salt in food is a major talking point.

My elderly friend finds the traffic light labelling system very useful when buying food.
