Can't get Experian account - do I exist?

I was recently turned down for a Barclaycard account and also (not turned down but kicked into the long grass) with Metro Bank.
I have requested Experian, Equifax and CallCredit accounts, and was given the last, but the other two seem to have trouble verifying me. It's odd, as I have quite a few financial accounts (mortgages, bank accounts, credit card accounts, personal loans), and Call Credit rate me 5/5 with a score of 657 (which is supposedly good).
Experian are clearly giving out bad vibes about me, and they seem to be too lazy to investigate. They're a business - if it's not profitable, why should they do it? But in this case, I feel that they do have a responsibility to the truth, and probably know jolly well that I exist, but are making it harder than they have to for me to "clear my name" so to speak.
Should I complain to them in writing, or just ask ICO?
Will GDPR help me? I get the impression that I could give them a bit of an admin runaround, which is of use only as some kind of vengeance, more than something with a proper purpose!
In the meantime, I've submitted a request for the statutory information, which could take a couple of weeks.

GDPR wont help you any more than the fictional credit scores you've been given. It doesn't make it easier for them to find your data.
Contact the CRAs to find out why they may be struggling to find you.
No one will be giving out 'bad vibes' about you.0 -
No - please, don't think GDPR is the be all and end all when it comes to CRA's and getting credit.
People have this assumption and it's completely wrong.0
