NEWSPAPER SUMMARY - Thursday 25th October

Good Morning All,

Thursday 25th October

Please post here if you get any of today's newspapers or have the chance to look through one.
Please tell us if any of them contain coupons or freebies or vouchers OR NOT !

Important details are:
The cost of the newspaper
Whether it's a regional edition
Page number
Expiry date of the voucher
Whether it's store specific and has a barcode

Remember if you go shopping look in as many newspapers as you can.
Post even if you don't see any coupons, and mention any offers that you see.

Below you'll find a list of the abbreviations and how to interpret them.

MOC - Money Off Coupon
Bc - Barcode, good chance of universal scan
bc - only selected stores scan
Xwrd - Crossword
PUZ - Puzzle
T#3 - Token 3
T2collect - Token 2 Collect (generally you have to collect numerous tokens to get the offer)

Lets hope todays a good one for coupons

  • I was told on tuesday that Tesco won't take "newspaper coupons" anymore if you don't buy the product. Does anyone know if this is a new policy, or just a stingy SA?

Probably just another SA who believes that all coupons used are deducted from their wages!!:rotfl:

I've been told the same by several tesco staff, but some still take them.

Sounds about right. It's always middle aged women who scowl at me when I try to use coupons.

I'll just have to stick to going to disinterested young male students.

Definitely a SA thing. I've been told the same yet I can still get a few of the old internet book vouchers through given a happy scanner.:T

In the SE edition of the Daily Mail, the barcode is really fuzzy. Has anyone managed to use it successfully at Tesco yet?
