Npower CCJ

Hello,
I have found a few threads on here about the nightmare that is Npower.
I recently got a CCJ from Npower. (I didn't do anything and burried my head in the sand and then they hit me with a CCJ)
I then got some solictors sending me some threatening letter sayings that they were going to sell my house as they put a charge on the property. Which I then dealt with and said that's abit extremem for a £500 debt we can come to some sort of financial agreement.
About a week later I got another letter from Npower saying that I owe them more money. I did what I should of done and complained immediately (even waiting 40 minutes on the phone to get through to someone) explained I have had a prepayment meter installed in 2013 and have always done that so how do I owe you any money when I have to pay for it upfront.
I got through to the complaints department and upon speaking to them they have said and confirmed in writing that npower need to write off all debt that they have placed against me as it an administrative error on there side and they weren't receiving money off British Gas.
I was wondering how do I go about dealing with getting rid of the CCJ/charge on the property and if I can claim for compensation as this has now had a negative effect on my credit score.
Anyone had a similar situation?
Thanks,
Ciara

Hi,
You need legal advice on this.
Legal beagles is a good place to start, link here :

A CCJ can only be removed by a set aside application, but there is a cost of £255.00 for this, although the creditor should agree, I do not know who would bare the cost.
Legal beagles can help with the finer detail.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
