London Train Ticket help

Hi all,

I have a season ticket for Hemel Hempstead to Kensington Olympia (not via London) and I use my contactless for any additional TFL services I need.

Sometimes, I find that I am close to London Euston after work and it's easier to go from there. I am guessing I wouldn't need to buy a ticket all the way to Hemel Hempstead from London Euston but where would I need to get a ticket to, to be covered for my full journey?

Before getting a weekly season ticket - I'd get a travelcard if I knew I would be travelling home via Euston.

I think Wembley Central would do it. I suggest that you buy it at the booking office at Euston, and explain that is what you are doing.

From the National Rail Conditions of Travel:
If you are using a Season Ticket, daily Zonal Ticket, or another area based
Ticket such as a concessionary pass, ranger or rover in conjunction with
another Ticket and the last station at which one Ticket is valid and the first
station that the other Ticket is valid are the same, then the train does not
need to call at that station for your combination to be valid.

Thanks! I did pose the question to National Rail and got a reply telling me to buy a Zones 1-6 travel card from Hemel Hempstead! Er... no.
