Halifax mortgage offer - how to request extention

So my Halifax mortgage which was originally valid for 6 months, has expired. So my broker was able to give us a further one-month extension.
Now the extra one month is up, my broker is saying as the product no longer available, I will have to jump on a new product which will cost us 45 pounds extra a month.
I spoke to the seller as he was able to get another 6 months extension however his loan is smaller, not sure by how much.
Please advise on how to go forward whether I can keep the existing mortgage offer.

You can't.
The process is selection of a new product and a refresh of the valuation once it's six months old.

Do you have a link for this?0 -
A link to Halifax relaunching all products on Monday with £1,000 cashback for FTBs and HomeMovers? No, I don't.
You should have an illustration for the new product before being asked to accept it. If you have, look at section 9.I am a mortgage broker.
