I was hesitant when it came to use the broker, my wife wanted one and he was recommended by her friend. But he was brilliant, he ask for paperwork in advance and found us deal that suits us best. He did all the application and talking to the bank, updates all the way, very promptly. Took 2 weeks, including valuation and we had our offer - it was quicker than my last remortgage (to get better deal).
I will use him again, just for simplicity of the process. It was quick and straight forward.

We have god credit history, no defaults, no late payment and solid salaries - so quite straight forward - but still it just took this one stress away when it come to buying a property. I'm definitely converted and would recommend using GOOD broker - just ask around.

I think the Question should be " Search ourselves or DO WE NEED A BROKER"

Are you in full time employment?
Secure job with " Normal contract " ?
    NO Zero hours !
Income, Deposit, Credit history, Dependants, Age and a Number of other factors can affect your chances of getting a mortgage.
Type of property you are trying to buy, Area, age of property ( Listed ! )
Current debts and outgoings ( Right down to a Haircut )
You will be using a solicitor to help buy the property and a Surveyor to survey the property ?

Hello there. We used a broker who was really helpful throughout the process. Updated us regularly and gave us what we were looking for. Currently waiting for a completion date. :D
  • I recently had a case where the lender recommended would lend 90% LTV mortgage to some one with unsatisfied County Court Judgements.

This lender would only offer this deal via limited number of brokers including ourselves. Customer would not have this deal available directly so price comparison websites would not be useful there.
