Bespoke shoes?

I am after some tailor made shoes. I have no idea where to start. I am in the London area? Anyone ever had experience of this?

Personally I like Jones the boot maker shoes, they're the only place I can buy shoes I like that fit properly. Not bespoke, but really nice

    Just found one,

Everything looked fine until i read......

How much does it cost to have shoes made?
The price of our shoes and boots includes your consultation, measurements, patterns and making bespoke lasts. The first pair of bespoke shoes cost from £1350 plus VAT. Subsequent shoes are £200 less than a new customer's price at the time of ordering, because we have your details. Our terms are a deposit of three-quarters or a £35 discount, if orders are paid in full. When you consider the durability, quality, comfort and standard of individual fit, these shoes represent true value for money.
Surely they are having a laugh?

There was a news feature a couple of years ago on a bespoke maker close to Harrods who turned them out for £800 a pair.
  • try a Thai website maybe? I know they do good suits so maybe also cobblers?
Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.
