Will Dylon cover a bleach stain?

I've got a cotton mossy green skirt which I accidentally splashed with bleach while doing housework. I put it in the wash straight away, but it has a big gingery mark where the bleach went. If I dye the whole skirt a darker colour do you think it will hide the stain or will that area always be lighter?

I think there always be a lighter spot, sorry.
Is the skirt full? You could sew a couple of fake pleats to hide it in or a smattering of various green buttons over it...if you felt so inclined!Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
I got bleach on a purple skirt awhile ago and I managed to find some flower applique patches which I sewed on over the bleach mark mine was near to the bottom of the skirt so did not look out of place.0

I actually think it's worth a try. The take up of the dye depends on the fabric. You could make a heroic try, using Dygon on the whole skirt and dyeing from scratch. It really depends on how much it is worth to you and whether any other options appeal.0

I used Dylon dye on some towels that were bleach stained. 3 or 4 years later they are still fine.0

don't use marker one, I read that on here and did it, as the clothes faded naturally the marker one didn't an so now the pen is much darker than the dress.

I once used Dylon on a pair of black linen trousers that dribbled with bleach whilst cleaning. Initially it covered the bleach but after 6 months the Dylon began to fade and the mark began to get lighter.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness.
